US Sen. John Boozman calls Trump judge comment ‘out of line’
Despite his belated efforts Tuesday to backpedal in the judge brouhaha, is it finally time, in the never-ending offensive that is Donald Trump, to pick a side?

Ron Weiser, one of the recently named top fundraisers for Trump and the Republican Party, said the nominee’s comments on the judge are “obviously making it more difficult” to raise money.
The New Jersey Democrat is his fellow policymakers have not gone far enough to distance themselves away from Trump’s comments. And each day I say I want to get to the point of endorsing the Republican nominee.
Trump said his remarks were misconstrued as a broad attack on Mexican-Americans. He continued to insist that he’s been treated unfairly in the case, and pointed to positive reviews of the school.
“Zoeller”, The Times reported, “said every attorney, as an officer of the court, is obligated to publicly denounce Trump’s remarks” and expressed hope that the American Bar Association would speak out. The mogul gratuitously invoked the judge’s Mexican heritage, but not so much to smear Curiel as to damn him with faint praise.
Rep. Mike Coffman, R-Colorado, who is facing a competitive race, has not endorsed Trump, and has said the presumptive nominee’s comments on Curiel were “inappropriate”.
But with each gaffe (Trump heaped more fuel on the fire Sunday by speculating that a Muslim judge also would be conflicted by Trump’s proposed ban on Muslims entering the country), you’ve got to wonder how someone like Collins still manages to drag herself out of bed each morning. I am not saying that I would be concerned about him presiding over a case in which I was a litigant. “He is a very good guy”. “I don’t think it reflects well in the Republican Party”.
But Trump’s brashness was on display, too, as he responded to a Bloomberg Politics article on Monday about a chaotic private phone call in which he ordered about three dozen of his most visible supporters to defend his attacks on Curiel by questioning the judge’s credibility and impugning reporters as racists. “So I did have to collect myself and try to get prepared”. I’m a big boy.
Stone is an ex-wife of Roger Stone, Trump’s friend and longtime unofficial political adviser. The event planning then played out in front of reporters. “It’s totally off the wall, and I don’t even have words to explain it”. “There’ll come a time when the love of country will trump hatred of Hillary”.
“I love that”, Hicks told him.
Still, he said, “Trump is testing that sort of loyalty” from many in the GOP. He vowed to stop discussing the Trump University case, noting that it’s scheduled for trial in November.
“I’d like to save it, give it the old fashioned way, right?” A loyal Republican, from the Deep South, no less, just announced in no uncertain terms that he’s had it with Donald Trump.
Secretary of State John Kerry, whose bid to unseat George W Bush in 2004 ended in defeat, extended his congratulations to Clinton on Wednesday, saying she “will make a terrific president” and hailing her achievement as “a truly historic moment”.
As for keeping the base happy, or at least on board, the simple reality for Collins and the few remaining centrist Republicans like her is that this is no longer just another topsy-turvy general election year. “I do not feel that one’s heritage makes them incapable of being impartial”.
His running mate won’t be former Texas Gov. Rick Perry, but Trump would like to see him in his administration.
“I have not backed down, and I will never, ever back down”, he said. He also compared Trump to tyrants and dictators who have used discrimination towards ethnic and religious minorities to increase their power. Mark Kirk of IL, who is in a competitive re-election race, said in a statement.
“We have our work cut out for us”, said US Representative Alan Lowenthal, a Democrat from Long Beach, California. “We’re going to get killed”.

A top official on Donald Trump’s campaign said on Wednesday that Hugh Hewitt should be banned from the GOP convention this summer after the conservative radio host said the Republican Party should change the rules to strip Trump of the nomination in Cleveland. I think it shows real leadership when he takes responsibility and walks those comments back.
