Here’s Lin-Manuel Miranda doing the full version of “Alexander Hamilton” (when people laughed at him over the idea of a hip hop show about the founding fathers) because shh, I don’t need a reason. Lin-Manuel Miranda, the writer and star of Hamilton, was spotted driving around New York City a few weeks ago with James Corden. Things got even more exciting, however, when Corden pulled over to pick up some epic Broadway talents: six-time Tony victor Audra McDonald, Jesse Tyler Ferguson of Modern Family fame, and Jane Krakowski from The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

Things took a turn for the jukebox musical with Jersey Boys’ “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You“, prompting the most spirited head-banging to a trumpet break that you are likely to see today.

JAMES Corden travelled to the Big Apple and swung via Broadway to pick up his latest Carpool Karaoke guests, just in time for the Tony Awards this Sunday.

James Corden is going to be hosting this year’s Tony Awards on June 12th.

The Carpool Karaoke clips have also scored millions of views online. Later, they impressively took on the tongue-twisting “Guns and Ships”, originally sung by Daveed Diggs’ Marquis de Lafayette. Ferguson chimes in, “It’s the nicest audience you could ever perform for”.

The ride culminated with an improvised rendition of Les Misérables’ “One Day More”, with Miranda as an impassioned Jean Valjean. It’s a long evening so just have fun, that’s what they want more than anything. Watch below for the greatest Broadway karaoke session in recorded history-and for that note McDonald hits at the very end.
