Authorities have charged two men and a woman with murder and kidnapping in the abduction and killing of a 13-year-old Detroit boy. Walker is accused of choking Deontae Mitchell to death with help from Roberts and Coleman. Coleman had been charged and arraigned on kidnapping in the case over the weekend.

Prosecutor Kym Worthy said Thursday that Deontae rode away on his bike with the cash but was found by the trio.

They saw a man drop about $70 on the ground, Worthy said at a press conference Thursday.

When a reporter asked Worthy if the fourth person is expected to be charged, she responded: “We are making a charging decision on these three individuals”, meaning Roberts, Coleman and Walker.

Detroit Police are trying to figure out how the 13-year-old got hold of a gun and whether it was an accident or a the result of an argument, Aaron Baskerville of WXYZ reports. The 14-year-old is identified as Fred Austin.

Roberts’ daughter, Mariah Thomas, is now also facing murder charges, WXYZ-TV, Channel 7 reported. They are accused of forcing the boy into a auto and killing him.

If convicted, the 13-year-old would be sentenced as a juvenile.
