President Obama formally endorses Clinton for president
“I also want to thank everybody who turned out to vote and who worked so hard for our candidates”, Obama said.

In the video, the president spoke of her role as his secretary of state and how she participated in the plan to get Osama bin Laden in 2011.
“Let me begin by thanking President Obama and thanking Vice President (Joe) Biden for the degree of impartiality they established during the course of this entire process”, Sanders said in brief remarks after his meeting. “I’m fired up and ready to go!” she wrote, signing it with ‘-H’ to indicate the tweet was from the former secretary of state personally. I’ve seen her toughness.
After meeting with President Obama on Thursday, Sanders addressed reporters outside the White House, saying he hopes to meet with Clinton soon. “I’m confident he will be a good campaigner for Democratic senators”.
U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders attracted a lot of supporters who have not been active in Democratic Party politics.
Following the meeting Thursday, Sanders said he would stay in the race through the Washington, D.C., primary next week.
Now Clinton is trying to make history of her own by becoming the first female president.
After Tuesday’s wave of primaries, Clinton well surpassed the total number of delegates needed to clinch the Democratic nomination and become the presumptive nominee.
The president concluded his endorsement by arguing that Sanders and Clinton share a common vision for America’s future, one defined by optimism, compassion, and equality of opportunity. “Well, they said that eight years ago as well”, Obama said.
President Obama formally endorsed Hillary Clinton for president via a video message.
Obama and Sanders talked for about an hour in the Oval Office. “Embracing that message is going to help us win in November”, Obama said.

Sanders is coming off decisive losses Tuesday in major primary voting contests across the country, including California, the country’s most populous state, and New Jersey that solidified Clinton as the presumptive nominee.
