Klay Thompson softens stance on Mozgov, dad does not

Thompson accused Mozgov of playing dirty in their collision caused by an illegal screen. In addition, the amount of time the ball is in Curry’s hands has dropped from 5.5 seconds per touch to just 4.5 seconds in the Finals.

Thankfully for the Warriors and the NBA, Thompson returned after a few minutes of treatment and put forth his strongest stretch of what was obviously a poor game overall.

“It seemed kinda dirty to me”, Thompson said after the game.

He was primarily upset with where the screen was set.

After dismantling the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first two games of the NBA Finals, Game 3 of the NBA Finals started out as bad as it possibly could early on for the Warriors.

“I’m just confused why he’s trying to set a screen in the middle of the key when we’re both running full speed downhill”, Thompson said after a dominant Cavaliers win, which cut Golden State’s series lead to 2-1. “But that didn’t make sense to me”. However, Thompson managed to come back into the game after changing with a pair of compression shorts with thigh pads.

Thompson trailed Irving into the lane but went sprawling to the court after making contact with Mozgov’s left leg.

Klay Thompson vented just enough Wednesday night that his anger had softened by Thursday afternoon. “Stick his knee out too, but that’s basketball”. “But I’m not going to hold a grudge”.

Thompson would hit the deck and would get up in pain.
