New Halo 5 PC Rumors Not True

These rumours are similar to the whispers that crop up on Twitter every year before E3: PC players love Halo, and would like to see its days as an Xbox exclusive come to an end.

Despite persistent rumours to the contrary, Microsoft insists Halo 5: Guardians will not be coming to PC. Back in April, Xbox head Phil Spencer said that he would rather not “look back” at Halo 5, and that as Halo is a console experience, porting it to PC “would not make sense”.

It’s a different tune to the one played by franchise director Frank O’Connor, who said last October that “there is plenty of chance that Halo 5 could appear on the PC”. No Halo 5 for us.

Enter the Dragon Punch is also partially behind recent reports saying a Skyrim remaster will be announced at next week’s E3 conference. Considering how challenging it was for 343 to fix all of The Master Chief Collection’s launch issues, perhaps the company thinks it’s not worth the trouble trying to port the game to a new platform.
