3 dead after plane crashes into car near Houston airport
Three people are reportedly dead after a plane registered in Oklahoma crashed near Hobby Airport Thursday afternoon. It’s a miracle no one on the ground was hurt, investigators say. Initial information suggests the plane is a fixed wing single-engine aircraft made by the Cirrus Design Group, Model – SR20.

Could have sworn I just saw a plane go down before it got to hobby airport.maybe I’m trippin.hope I am.
Conklin said that after the crash, she didn’t see any movement from inside the plane and people didn’t immediately rush to the plane over concern it might explode. “It was like a transformer had blew, it was real, real loud and it shook the building”, she said.
“It would be extremely rare that you need to use that parachute for anything”, Harris said. HFD spokesman Ruy Lozano said there was no Hazmat spill or fire as a result of the crash. It was less than a mile from the airport, not far from the runway the air traffic controllers had cleared for the pilot to land.
Lozano says he doesn’t know if the plane had taken off or was trying to land at the airport. Maryland wasn’t sure what happened or what she should do.
It was not known what caused the plane to crash.
During the second attempt to land, the traffic controller determined the plane was still too high and asked it to again go around. Officials with Safe Aviation could not be reached for comment. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the incident.
