Jon Snow could be coming to Call of Duty
Setting aside the heroic role of Jon Snow for a moment, Game of Thrones star Kit Harington will take on a whole new face this fall when Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare makes its way to game consoles. Back in 2015, if you were to look closely into the video game, you might have noticed a motion capture rig strikingly similar to one belonging to ex-NFL superstar Marshawn Lynch in “Call of Duty: Black Ops 3”.

We’ve reached out to Jon Snow for comment, but as usual he knows nothing. Harington is the latest to join the spate of notable actors in Call of Duty franchise, which includes names such as Kevin Spacey, Jeff Goldblum and John Malkovich. Events force him to take command of the Retribution, one Earth’s last remaining warships, to lead the remnants of the planet’s forces against the Settlement Defense Front (SDF).
The official Call of Duty Twitter account has published a video of Harrington partaking in motion capture for the role. And if that wasn’t enough, Snatch director Guy Ritchie has also been lending a helping hand.
The play finishes its run on 25 June (16) and Kit is glad he only has three weeks left because the intense production is tiring work.
The report added that film director Guy Ritchie is also working with Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare developer Infinity Ward on the game, but his specific job was not revealed. We’re excited about the performance Kit delivered and can’t wait to get it out to the public. “We challenge ourselves to constantly be fresh and expansive in creating gripping, immersive experiences that are exciting to play for our fans every year”.

Making a major jump from fantasy series Game of Thrones to a Call of Duty video game? Though not exactly the most accurate of metrics, it does echo a general resentment of sci-fi elements being included in a Call of Duty game. More details will be released at the upcoming Call of Duty fan celebration, Call of Duty XP, in September.
