Martin described the scene as “chaos” and says people were running everywhere. She died early Saturday.

The brother of singer Christina Grimmie, who was shot and killed after a concert in Florida Friday night, is being hailed as a hero by law enforcement and fans alike.

A man, who was armed with two guns, walked towards her and shot her, the police said, adding: “Christina’s brother immediately tackled the suspect, who shot and killed himself”.

Mina says there were unarmed security guards at The Plaza concert venue and they checked bags and purses for contraband.

Selena Gomez and her stepfather Brian Teefey, the manager of the late Christina Grimmie, are reacting to news of the singer’s shocking death.

Police said in a Saturday morning press conference that he likely was a deranged fan. “I was probably five years old when I wrote my very first song”, Grimmie said in a 2014 video.

According to Mina, Grimmie likely did not know her attacker, Kevin James Loibl, a 27-year-old white male not from the Orlando area. Mina said there’s no indication Grimmie knew Loibl.

It did not take long until she caught the attention of talent agents with her rendition of Party in the United States of America, which went on to earn more than 12.3 million views online.

In her last tweet on Friday around noon, Grimmie posted a video inviting people to her concert in Orlando. “If you’d like to give back to Christina’s family in her memory, please consider donating to the families GoFundMe page in their time of need”, her representative said in a statement, as cited by ABC.

“She was shot at her show in Orlando and, unfortunately, didn’t survive the gunshot wounds”. She closed with an excited “byee!”

Mina said the gunman “approached her and opened fire, striking her”.

Adam Levine, the Maroon 5 lead singer who was Grimmie’s mentor on The Voice, posted a picture of them together before her death was confirmed, writing: “I’m sad, shocked and confused”.
