“They have removed the cancer, and they removed a portion of his stomach and his lymph nodes”, his wife told 1 Wrestling.
Snuka’s surgery was a success but he’s facing a long recovery. “Rowdy” Roddy Piper died in his sleep at age 61 last week.
“The doctor said he did very well”, Carole told Apter of her husband, 72. “They’re very happy with the outcome”, Carole Snuka said.
“We all know how strong Jimmy is, and Jimmy can take a beating…” “First Dusty, then Roddy Piper, now Jimmy Snuka has cancer and Jerry Lynn needs neck surgery it’s been a bad few months for wrestling fans”, wrote one distraught fan, while another offered, “Saddened to hear that #JimmySnuka has been diagnosed with stomach cancer”.
There is bad news to share about another wrestling icon. “And he will be back and visiting with his fans as soon as he feels up and ready to go”.
During the interview that Carol had with Apter, she passed along a message from Snuka with regards to the death of his good friend Piper. Snuka and Piper were involved in a now-famous match where Piper hit Jimmy over the head with a coconut, according to What Culture. “Jimmy just wants to say, ‘I love you, brother, and you will always be in my heart.'”.

Snuka was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame back in 1996, capping off a career of headlining major arenas around the world.
