No Doubt singer Gwen Stefani filed for divorce Monday from musician Gavin Rossdale.

Gavin, who fronts the band Bush, filed simultaneously and also asked for shared custody. The couple separately filed divorce documents on the same day, signifying that this split has likely been in the works for awhile.
In a joint statement, they vowed to work together to raise sons Kingston, 9, Zuma, 6, and Apollo, 1.
They have also requested for privacy during this time. Gwen is worth an estimated $80 million while Gavin’s net worth is somewhere around $35 million.
In divorce papers obtained by the website, it’s claimed Stefani, 45, ticked the box asking for the court not to award Rossdale, 49, with spousal support.
Trouble in paradise was not evident, however, and most fans are completely shocked to hear this news.
Gwen and Gavin were once a romance made in rock star heaven. “We go through so much together”, she said, “it’s a miracle that we could stay together this long”. “I do think he’s quite handsome”, she said.
“She added to Cosmopolitan: “[Gavin’s] on a short tour right now, and he wrote me the sweetest note this morning.

“If I look back on the whole thing the one thing that’s been constant is that we both want the same thing”, she told the Today show, before welling up. I think that’s what keeps relationships going, when both people can be themselves and have their own individuality.
