Andrew Bogut: People Calling Kevin Love Soft Are ‘Idiots’

Warriors center Andrew Bogut and Cavaliers forward Kevin Love are on opposite sides of the NBA Finals, but that didn’t stop Bogut from defending Love from critics Thursday.

Love, who sat out game three after suffering a concussion on Sunday, is questionable to play game four and following the Cavs’ 120-90 win over the Warriors on Wednesday, some were questioning whether the team is better off without him. Some felt that the Cavaliers didn’t properly clear Love of having a concussion before he returned. Lue also declined to say if he would start Love if the former All-Star was in fact cleared to play. “We played well. So I just chose to stick with R.J.”, Lue said. Harrison Barnes had a strong game with 14 points, and the Warriors’ bench added 22.

“I haven’t been told”, Jefferson said. Lue slid James over to cover Draymond Green, who had his worst game of the series. Jefferson’s selfless attitude has rubbed off on his teammates.

“You’ve got a guy like that, physically gifted, high IQ, one of the best passers I’ve ever seen, he gets it going, there’s nothing you can do”, Andre Iguodala said of containing LeBron in the fourth.

How dramatic of a change could be coming for these Cavaliers? He’s coached these Cavaliers unwilling to let salaries and stature dictate decisions.

The 35-year-old has been a steadying force on and off the floor this season for Cleveland, which signed him to a one-year contract last summer.

Cleveland’s quick start – the Cavs jumped to a 19-4 lead – in Game 3 rattled the Warriors, who never recovered after winning Games 1 and 2 at home by a combined 48 points. When it was time to find the next scapegoat, post-David Blatt, Love had been conditioned to believe it would be him. “You don’t mess around with the brain”. Bogut claims that in 2012 he didn’t pass concussion tests because of a slow Wi-Fi connection, and he was held out of a game as a result.
