The Voice alum Christina Grimmie’s brother Marcus (Mark) posted a tribute to his sister on Saturday, a day after she was fatally shot after her concert in Florida.

Singer Christina Grimmie, a former finalist on NBC’s “The Voice”, died early Saturday, hours after a gunman’s attack at a Florida concert venue, according to Orlando police.
The actress and singer had shared a photo with Christina to Twitter on Saturday after hearing about her devastating death, along with the words: ‘My heart is absolutely broken.
Police credit Marcus’ heroic actions for preventing the gunman from hurting others. Loibl, a 27-year-old from St Petersburg, Florida, shot and killed himself after shooting Grimmie.
Detectives, meanwhile, were searching Loibl’s mobile phone and social media accounts in an attempt to find a motive.
Mina says the suspect didn’t appear to know Christina Grimmie personally and may have been a deranged fan.
It’s unclear how the gunman got a gun into the venue or whether attendees were checked for weapons.
When she was 4, as she told the Marlton Sun in a 2011 article, she would plop herself down at the family’s piano – “you know, just press keys”.
The suspect had made travel arrangement to come to Orlando alone, as well as travel arrangements to go back home, but he didn’t have a vehicle, Mina said. “They do check bags and purses as people enter”.
All events at The Plaza Live have been suspended until further notice, a spokeswoman said.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of those lost as well as those that witnessed and aided in the recovery after this senseless act”, the venue wrote. Her YouTube videos, which include covers of challenging tunes like Adele’s Hello and Skyscraper by Demi Lovato, have garnered millions of views.
The Maroon 5 frontman mentored the 22-year-old on Season Six of the hit singing show in 2014, helping her reach the final and finish in third place.

She wrote: “Today the world was reminded that there is no love quite like that between an older brother and his little sister”. There, he shot Grimmie as she was signing autographs for fans after performing. “Grimms I love you, and miss you beyond comprehension”.
