This revision may help the company enter the Japanese market with a smaller device.
Microsoft’s E3 2016 media briefing isn’t due to start until tomorrow, but that hasn’t stopped more information on their upcoming announcement surfacing online ahead of the conference. We’ll have to wait until tomorrow for more concrete news, but take a look at the images of the new, sleek Xbox One.
The Xbox One slim is real. The power brick is said to be internal which offers an even smoother appearance. It’ll be 40% smaller, have a whopping two terabytes of storage, support for 4K video and high dynamic range, a newly-designed controller, and a vertical stand.
These new streaming units will be rather affordable and will be priced below $200, and while one could only allow for streaming, the other might also enable playing Windows Store games. The Xbox One S will also be entirely white, which may please Apple aficionados and Wii/Wii U owners, but otherwise meshes poorly with Xbox One and PlayStation 4 set-ups.
