Selena Gomez’s stepfather starts an online fundraiser to aid Christina Grimmie’s family

USA police have identified 27-year-old Kevin James Loibl as the suspected killer of singer Christina Grimmie.

After shooting Christina, Loibl was tackled to the ground by Christina’s brother Marcus, and the shooter killed himself.

Police have confirmed that the 22-year-old singer, who starred on the United States version of the talent show, died of her wounds after an unnamed man opened fire on her when she was signing autographs after a gig in Orlando.

Family, friends and fans are mourning the death of former “The Voice” contestant Christina Grimmie after she was shot Friday.

According to the Gospel Herald, Grimmie described herself as a “full-on Christian who loves Jesus” and loved the Bible, and sang for Jesus.

“As family, mother, father, and brother made the ultimate family sacrifice to support Christina on her musical journey”.

She posted this video ahead of the gig.

“He did look a little bit nervous, but he was by himself and he was dressed as any other concertgoer”, Destiny Rivera told People Magazine.

In an earlier statement, police said Grimmie had performed with the band Before You Exit at The Plaza Live in Orlando. Lovely member of “The Voice family” and true fighter.

Fans of Christina angrily replied, calling the tweet insensitive and believing the message came from her management team.

Although patrons had their bags and purses checked for weapons at the venue, there were no metal detectors and the security guards were unarmed, Mina said.

USA Today has since reported that Orlando’s Plaza Live Theater, where the shooting happened, has suspended all events until further notice.
