HP CEO Whitman compares Trump to Hitler, Mussolini

Donald Trump returned to the combative form that helped him win the US Republican presidential nomination, slamming Democrats, calling for his party to unite behind him, and responding to Mitt Romney’s suggestion that his election could lead to “trickle-down racism”. While there are no indications that Ryan and Romney have directly addressed their disagreement about how Republicans should proceed, both 2012 candidates did defend their stances this weekend at Romney’s annual Experts and Enthusiasts Summit (“E2”) in Park City, Utah, an off-the-record event for conservative business leaders, donors, and politicians.

Reince Priebus, the chairman of the Republican National Committee and one of the men tasked with bringing order to the party, had a rebuttal to Romney on Friday.

Romney’s disparaging remarks about the 2016 field came a day after an interview with CNN, during which he said Trump is engaged in “trickle-down racism” that could have long-lasting effects on the country if he is elected president. “Very racist!” Trump tweeted.

On the eve of nominating Mr. Donald Trump as the Republican presidential candidate, who is now supported by 1,327 delegates, there is a tough challenge ahead of him as he confronts the Democratic candidate in the November election. The opponents include Romney, Republicans’ 2012 presidential nominee, who chose Ryan as his running mate. Ted Cruz, who Romney belatedly endorsed in the campaign, for initially praising Trump before the two became staunch enemies in the campaign’s final weeks.

Recalling what he told Romney loyalists, Scaramucci said: “Your father just got slayed by your uncle, whom you don’t really like, and your uncle is now in charge”.

The Tampa rally is Trump’s second since the end of the primary season. While selling paraphernalia is a staple feature at most campaign rallies, the Trump team had largely eschewed selling merchandise at rallies, allowing bootleggers to sell unofficial versions outside the venues. Most colorfully, Hewlett-Packard CEO and Romney friend Meg Whitman reportedly compared the presumptive nominee to Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini, asking Ryan “how he could endorse someone with, in her judgment, such poor character”. “If anything, people are trying to find ways to diplomatically support the candidate.”Puzder said potential donors left him feeling encouraged. According to one fundraiser, in an informal poll during a summit session with some 250 donors, only about 20 percent indicated they would vote for Trump.

Although you can’t say that Whitman is a “high profile” Republican, she is well known in party circles. His pitch on Trump was to stay positive, reminding anyone who would listen that Trump has great children, which says something about his character. The way I see it is he won the thing fair and square.

Donald Trump also told of how he wooed the support of former Indiana University basketball coach Bobby Knight during the Hoosier State’s primary last month.

On Saturday, Trump sarcastically suggested he’ll apologize for referring to Warren as “Pocahontas”, in response to Warren apparently attempting to use Native American heritage to further her academic and political career.

He kept up his attacks while speaking at a campaign rally on Saturday in Tampa, Florida, telling the crowd, “I don’t think he knows what a misogynist is”.

He said he’s “very torn” about the birthday, but added: “I feel like I’m 35”.
