‘The Elder Scrolls 6’ rumors: Sequel not coming? ‘Skyrim’ remaster rumored instead

In fact, a German video game store called 4u2play leaked the details of an upcoming new and improved version of the fifth installment of “The Elder Scrolls” series.

The move to remaster a previous title rather than a new installment seems to mirror the statement that Bethesda’s Vice President for Public Relations Pete Hines made a year ago, where he talked about why the company is not too keen on constantly releasing sequel games unlike some developers with popular franchises on their hands.

With pre-E3 leaks coming in thick and fast, it appears that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is getting a definitive edition that will arrive on PS4 and Xbox One on the 23rd November 2016. Fans were surprised to hear of “Skyrim” Remastered as bets were on Bethesda eking out clues regarding “The Elder Scrolls 6” and Argonia at the E3 2016.

Meanwhile, it was reported that Bethesda Softworks will present an early gameplay reveal for “Dishonoured 2” during the E3 2016 event prior to its official release date.

There are swirling rumors that “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim” is about to have its remaster edition. Word round Tamriel is that the next big Bethesda RPG will be *drum roll* Skyrim.

The website has even mentioned that the game will release on November 23, 2016 and will cost $39.99 for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox 360.

Given “Skyrim” Remaster on the priority plate, progress on “The Elder Scrolls 6” would have definitely slowed down.

It about five years since Bethesda released “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim” back in 2011, and now fans are clamoring for the release of the sixth installment in the franchise.
