Broncos Pull Contract Offer To Von Miller
Super Bowl MVP Von Miller, who is very close with Talib, said he spoke with him before the trip and that his teammate is “going to be OK”.

The Super Bowl MVP was given a deadline to sign by Tuesday night, and when it passed the team rescinded a six-year, nine-figure offer.
The Broncos and Miller have until July 15 to work out a long-term deal.
This threat appears to have been a pump fake by John Elway and the Broncos to try and get Miller’s side to act quickly.
As he often does, Obama noted he remained a fan of his hometown team, the Chicago Bears, but he conceded that the Broncos had a good year. This proposal comes just days after Miller himself told reporters that the two sides had made “real progress” in recent days. The six-year, $57 million contract he signed in 2014 was in effect a three-year deal, with all but $2 million of the $25 million in guarantees paid out by the end of the 2016 season. $39.8 million guaranteed over those first two years would put Miller at $19.9 million, well below the $22+ million he might be worth in the open market.
This isn’t the first time the Broncos have come to the table with a reported deal.
Should Miller want to leave Denver for more money and maybe a better chance at winning another Super Bowl in the life of that supposed long-term deal, here are five National Football League teams that he should consider in 2017 National Football League free agency if the bridge is shamelessly burnt between him and Denver.
Last year, receiver Demaryius Thomas received the franchise tag and in 2013, offensive lineman Ryan Clady was slapped with the tag. “It’s possible he could sit out the season because that would prevent the Broncos from again applying the “exclusive” franchise tag next year”, Klis wrote.

Cornerback Aqib Talib returned to the Broncos’ facility Wednesday, as coach Gary Kubiak anticipated, to meet with the team’s medical staff after he sustained a gunshot wound in his lower right leg early Sunday in Dallas. But it would still keep him off the market.
