“We’ve also made the decision to have Greg’s sperm frozen”, she revealed.

News emerged earlier in the week that some journalists are refusing to cover the 2016 Summer Olympics over fears that they might contract Zika, a mosquito-borne virus spreading across Brazil and other regions.
According to his girlfriend Susie Verrill who has written an article on why her and their son Milo will not be attending the games, Greg has had some sperm frozen to not take any chances. We’d love to have more children and with research in its infancy, I wouldn’t want to put myself in a situation which could have been prevented.
Several athletes have expressed concern and some, including golfers Marc Leishman and Vijay Singh, and United States cyclist Tejay van Garderen have opted to skip the Games. The World Health Organization’s chief said, Friday, June 3, 2016, she has convened an expert committee to consider whether the Rio De Janeiro Olympics should proceed as planned, given recent concerns raised about the threat of the Zika virus. WHO has rejected the call, saying the Games would not have a significant public health impact.
Dr. David Heymann, chair of Britain’s Health Protection Agency and leader of the WHO panel of independent experts on Zika, told Reuters last week that postponing the Olympics would create a false sense of security, because travellers are constantly going in and out of Brazil. “With more than 7,000 athletes, 8,000 volunteers and 2,000 staff participating, there was not a single case of contamination (infection)”.
The Zika virus is suspected of causing thousands of babies to be born with underdeveloped brains.
The Olympic committee is also working with locals to control the mosquito population, including daily patrols to eliminate standing water near the areas where the Games will take place.

After some reports of Zika transmission through semen, they have also warned men possibly exposed to the virus to wear condoms or avoid sex for a period of two months.
