Oh look, the Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge+ have leaked (again)

The Galaxy S6 Edge Plus looks exactly like what its name suggests…a bigger S6 Edge.

This weekend prolific smartphone beans spiller Evan Blass (@evleaks) appeared to spoil any surprise value Samsung might have left, by publishing renders of Samsung’s main upcoming attractions and a spec list for the next Galaxy Note. This will surely upset a lot of Galaxy K Zoom owners who have been looking forward to this release since it make its debut last November. That’s much larger than anything we’ve seen in a Samsung handset before. At the event, Samsung is anticipated to disclose some of the details of the successor to its flagship device, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 along with the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus.

Earlier in the day, Samsung launched its slimmest Galaxy phone yet, the A8 in India at a price of Rs.32,500.

The Galaxy Note 5, also known as Project Noble, looks set to be a more incremental upgrade to the line rather than an all-out redesign. Both phones feature Samsung’s home-grown Exynos octa-core processor and 3 gigs of RAM, and with options available for 32, 64 and 128 gigs of storage. It’ll arrive running Android 5.1.1, we’re told. The display is has 2.5mm of bezel on side.

The phone sports a 16-megapixel autofocus camera with f/1.9 aperture and LED Flash, and a 5-megapixel wide-angle selfie camera up front. “I’ll compare it with the Note 4 [Galaxy] S6”. The user claimed that Note 5 was better of the two devices and that the Edge Plus did not have anything new to offer. The slimmer size allows manufacturers to “smooth out those pesky camera bumps from their designs, or perhaps to design devices with even thinner bodies while maintaining their headline 16 megapixel resolution”, Forbes explained. August 21st has been named as one possible date. But we already have confirmation of the specs rumors.
