Chevy Colorado Midnight: Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark
For the 2015 model year, Chevy offered the Z71 Trail Boss Colorado and a Colorado GearOn special edition that showcased GearOn accessories and features. Each one has its own thematic, according to Chevrolet: “the Midnight Edition evokes the aesthetic of an urban tuner vehicle, while the Z71 Trail Boss is designed for terrain where the pavement ends”.

The new appearance package darkens the overall appearance of the popular midsize pickup truck. It features a black spray-on bedliner and folding tonneau cover, plus Chevy logo sill plates. The black-out-themed Colorado will be offered exclusively in black with smoked black 18-inch wheels and a black bow tie on the grille.
Both of the new, special edition versions of the 2016 Chevrolet Colorado will arrive at dealership this fall. Pricing for the new package has yet to be announced.
Available on the LT with either the extended or crew cab configuration, the Colorado Midnight Edition package can also be paired with two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive, and all three of the Colorado’s available engines are compatible with the sleek, sport-truck motif. The Trail Boss package increases the off-road capability of the already-rugged Colorado Z71, which comes standard with a host of chassis shielding and heavy-duty suspension upgrades.
The other package will be the Chevrolet Colorado Z71 package. It will also be available with the all-new 2.8L Duramax turbo-diesel engine, but hold your horses for now, because official pricing will be out at a late date. The Trail Boss package adds Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac 265/65R17 tires, tubular assist steps, black Chevrolet bowtie badge, spray-in bedliner, and all-weather floormats. The Colorado Trail Boss will be available with the new diesel engine, too, as well as the 2.5L and 3.6L.
