New God of War Game Announced at Sony’s E3 2016 Conference
However, this is not the God of War you remember.

I love God of War, but after six games that were all variations of the same gameplay style, the franchise was exhausted, stale, and boring. And then – Kratos’ familiar voice echos out of the shadows, and he steps forward.
Kratos looks like a pretty gruff father in the first footage, yelling at his son for scaring off the deer he was hunting. There’s much more of a Norse vibe in the new game, with an older Kratos and his young son lightly crunching snow under their feet before getting attacked by monsters stylistically unlike any previous game.
The simply titled “God of War” doesn’t have a release date, but we’re looking forward to it. But he’s also wielding an axe and not his signature Blades of Chaos.
Look for more God of War on the PlayStation 4.

Smaller details in the gameplay demo show what appears to be RPG elements, such as archery knowledge points, as well as a Spartan Rage timed-ability during battle. I have no idea what’s in store for this upcoming God of War game, but consider me excited.
