Along with new Siri features, Apple is expected to unveil other software improvements for its iPhones, iPads and Mac computers. Also, we’ve already told you everything there is to know about the upcoming iOS 10 mobile operating system for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices, and now we’ll share with you what we know about OS X.
Apple Music, which now has 15 million paying subscribers, is getting a new interface that’s meant to be simpler and that will make it easier to find music you store on your phone, and not just tunes you can stream from the internet.
On Monday, the company is expected to announce a number of new upgrades to its various operating systems. It’s simple, it’s stylish and it again shows that Apple wants you to want Apple Music for both practical and stylistic reasons. In a blog post, Brian Roemmele asked the app on his smartphone to open settings in a new window. Separately, Apple said it was expanding its Apple Pay system to the Web, allowing merchants to handle transactions which can be authenticated on a user’s iPhone or Apple Watch. Universal Clipboard is a new part of Continuity between iOS and macOS, and, just as you’d expect, lets you copy something on one device, and immediately have it available to paste on the other. Sources suggest that Apple may make changes to the user interface before the app is finally launched.
Apple Pay for the Web lets you make purchases online and in apps.
Apple’s Craig Federighi also reiterated the firm’s commitment to user privacy, saying the company would continue to encrypt the data on its products, following the company’s stand-off with the Federal Bureau of Investigation over access to data on the phone of a terror suspect.

While there is unlikely to be major hardware releases today, Apple fans will be waiting for CEO Tim Cook to say those magic words: One more thing. Usually a showcase for Apple’s software updates, the conference is being closely watched after the company reported its first quarterly revenue decline in 13 years, raising questions whether its best days are behind it. It’s now unclear if you can get similar integrations on Siri with the Mac.
