Marcus Grimmie wrote that he was “blown away” when he found out Monday that the Maroon 5 frontman who served as his sister’s coach on The Voice had called his mother directly with the offer.

Grimmie was shot and killed on Friday at The Plaza Live in Orlando, Florida, while signing autographs for fans after performing with the pop-rock band, Before You Exit.

Grimmie’s older brother Marcus tackled Loibl to the floor before the gunman killed himself. Marcus Grimmie, the late singer’s brother, broke the news on his Facebook page Sunday night.

Hundreds of people have gathered for a candlelight vigil in the New Jersey hometown of a singer who was gunned down after a Florida concert. “Words can not express…literally I have no words”. “And I missed the very first glimpse, but witnesses say she was – arms open wide”.

One of those supporters is Adam Levine, who mentored Grimmie on The Voice. They did nothing but love her and support her as family the best they knew how.

Grimmie’s brother Marcus revealed on Facebook that Levine, who coached Christina on the USA talent contest, had made the kind offer. “So I’m at a great peace right now”.
