The new Home app controls everything in your home, or at least that’s the intention (doors, bulbs, ACs, humidifiers etc) and it’s integrated with the 3D Touch feature.

With the new app and the updated remote, you can now search through 650,000 TV shows and movies, as well as search YouTube for videos using the voice-controlled search feature.

Now Apple users will be able to use Apple’s personal digital assistant on their MacBooks-similar to Microsoft’s personal assistant on Windows 10, Cortana. Amazon’s assistant, Alexa, is enjoying a surge in popularity, partly because it works well with a variety of other applications. The new iOS is so smart it can highlight “emojifiable” words giving users a heads up if they’d like to change the word “pizza” to a picture of a slice or find the flawless emoji face to express the word “love”.
But the move has trade-offs for Apple.
With watchOS 3, due out this fall, Apple Watch applications launch much faster – nearly instantly instead of seconds – and are easier to switch between. Perhaps you can afford those items but are exhausted of accidentally opening Apple’s Maps app instead of Google Maps. Siri will also be able to set up that call.
At WWDC 2016, Apple’s virtual assistant Siri might have gotten its biggest update since it launched nearly four years ago. And for emoji fans, automatic suggestions will make it easy to replace words with emoji when you text. There will be an Apps icon below each message from now, letting you add anything from a customised GIF to a money coupon to your message.
Apple’s Photos app is also updating to sort your images via location, which you can view like a normal folder or as a map, or you can create memories folders around something like a vacation. As usual, the Cupertino, Calif. firm previewed forthcoming updates to the software running on iPhones, Macs, and other devices. “I was pleasantly surprised to see the Home App as I thought that was a missing element at launch”. An expression of love might get a large bubble while a message of condolence might be shown in a very small one. Both are expected in a few months.

Apple is unveiling a redesign of its music service, Apple Music, aimed at simplicity and making it easier to find music stored on the device as opposed to streamed from the Internet. The interface has been simplified and personalized, and the app also now includes song lyrics.
