Apple makes Siri smarter, adds software improvements
The company previewed new features for its iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Apple Watch and Mac software as the weeklong Apple Worldwide Developers Conference opened in San Francisco on Monday.

The release of iOS 10 will also open up the Siri intelligent assistant to developers with SiriKit, enabling the creation of new apps that integrate with Siri. The new operating system for Macs will now be called macOS to match the company’s other offerings.
Apple’s Ai improvements aren’t restricted to Siri.
Apple kicked off its annual software developers’ conference with new software features for its smartwatch, following a moment of reflection for the Sunday mass shooting in Orlando, Florida.
User data will also be wiped with any deleted app, Apple explained. For example, there is a section Downloaded Music, where users can see the songs they bought and stored on their devices.
With respect to its services, Apple said it would allow outside developers access to more of the products in its ecosystem to boost their capabilities. That integration will also enable a user to copy and paste seamlessly from one device to another.
In the new mobile operating system are features like a native home automation app, redesigns of the Music, Maps, and News apps, and perhaps most exciting of all, bigger emojis in Messenger. You’ll be able to write handwritten messages and doodles to your friends, and fullscreen effects turn your chat background into an animated image.
There have been rumors in the past that Apple could be getting rid of the app, and it looks like in iOS 10, Apple has finally done that.
Apple outlined changes to its four key software platforms: macOS (previously Mac OS X), iOS, watchOS and tvOS.
But Apple is also opening Messages up to developers, which means you’ll be able to do thing like send someone a payment via Square Cash within Messages, or order a meal for delivery without ever leaving Messages.
The service now has 15 million paying subscribers, 2 million more than in April.

Apple CEO Tim Cook said iOS 10 is the biggest change to the software yet (though company execs always say that when new software launches) and there are a ton of other features debuting later this year. There is also a new Control Center aimed at making navigation simpler. AI is emerging as a major new tech battleground, one where Apple may have some ground to make up. The new Home app controls everything in your home, or at least that’s the intention (doors, bulbs, ACs, humidifiers etc) and it’s integrated with the 3D Touch feature. Soon you’ll be able to use Siri to search movies, YouTube, or access live broadcasts available on supported apps like ESPN or CBS News.
