Christina – who is known for her appearances on the USA version of “The Voice” – opened for the band Before You Exit at The Plaza Live in Orlando.

Police Chief Mina went on to praise Christina’s brother Marcus for “almost immediately” tackling the suspect.

Mark added: “But above all…she was my baby sister. She loved the Lord and her family and was always there for me and I honestly don’t know what I’ll do without her”. Conflicting reports about the singer’s condition have been making the rounds of social media, but no further information about the shooting has been made available at this time. Her brother tackled the shooter, but the man shot himself to death on the scene.

A GoFundMe account was created by her manager Brian Teefey, who is also Selena Gomez’s stepfather.

The 23-year-old pop star used the Miami stop of her Revival World Tour to speak of her love and affection for Christina, who was killed by a gunman following her concert performance in Orlando, Florida, on Friday.

Orlando Police say they believe Kevin drove 160km from his hometown of St Petersburg, Florida, with the sole intention of killing the 22-year-old singer. According to an employee at the hospital, Christina died shortly after she was brought to the ER.

Marcus posted a moving tribute to his sister on Facebook, saying Christina was more than just his sister, she was a “partner in life”.
