Billboard reports that Beyonce’s entertainment and management company, Parkwood Entertainment, along with philanthropy and corporate relations director Ivy McGregor, gave a $82,234 check to the United Way of Genesee County at a Detroit high school.

The money will go toward Flint residents who continue to deal with the city’s lead-tainted water supply.

A BIG thanks to @beyonce’s @BeyGood for all their support. The charity has so far distributed bottled water and filtration systems, provided emergency support for locals of the area and begun planning long-term restoration efforts. In April, it was announced that the Ford Field concert would also include an event to “serve as a celebration of the resourcefulness of the people of Flint and Detroit, Michigan”.

According to a press release, Bey’s fans raised more than $80,000, an amount that was presented as a check to United Way of Genesee County.

BeyGOOD, the philanthropic arm of Beyoncé’s brand, has partnered with United Way to promote volunteerism and to support Flint during the Formation World Tour.
