The next Apple TV will reportedly be released in September
The next-generation version will boast noticeably improved performance courtesy of Apple’s A8 processor that is used in the current iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

BuzzFeed earlier had reported that Apple planned but abruptly scrapped introducing the new TV hardware in June at its Worldwide Developer’s Conference (WWDC), opting to continue working on the project.
Bringing a new dimension to the offering will be the launch of tv APPS- games, lifestyle and other apps. At the moment, there is no word on whether the new Apple TV will offer support for 4K, though it will come with a new remote that includes touch-pad input.
According to reports, it is rumored that Apple, Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) will be releasing a new version of the Apple TV along with a new streaming service.
Apple’s biggest trump card may be access to a new TV subscription service, including a “skinny” bundle of channels for a monthly fee.
Apple’s TV streaming device, the Apple TV, may have its debut this September If the rumors are true, the gadget will share the stage with the latest iPhone.
Most importantly, the new Apple TV would be released alongside an SDK and app store that would open the platform up.
It’s safe to say the Apple TV is long in the tooth as there are plenty of similar set-top boxes that can run circles around it when it comes to the specs. The company is rumoured to have held negotiations with US broadcasters including ABC, CBS and Fox over the expected online TV service, which is predicted to cost between $30 and $40 per month via subscription.
At the “Spring Forward” event in March, CEO Tim Cook said that Apple had sold 25 million total Apple TV units up until that point. According to the reports the unannounced service might set off later this year, but more chances are it will be in the start of next year.
However, Buzzfeed’s John Paczkowski reports that Apple is finally ready to reveal the redesigned new Apple TV at the same event where it usually reveals the newest iPhone.
