Obama urges Congress to reinstate assault weapons ban

Presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump says he will be meeting with the National Rifle Association to discuss ways to block people on terrorism watch lists or no fly lists from buying guns. Would it make ISIL less committed to trying to kill Americans? If he hadn’t had this weapon, he just would have used multiple other firearms or other types of weapons.

Here’s a look at the candidates’ proposals on gun regulations. “Reinstate the assault weapons ban, make it harder for terrorists to use these weapons to kill us”.

“The President spoke by phone today with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of Canada to accept Prime Minister Trudeau’s condolences for the terrorist attack in Orlando, Florida”, the White House said.

That Trump’s position on guns is unclear is not news.

On his campaign website, he calls such policies “total failures”.

Clinton supports requiring background checks on more kinds of gun purchases. However, this adamant refusal to consider any further limits on gun purchases makes no sense.

Trump opposes any new restrictions.

Criminals don’t bring guns into America.

The Orlando shooter, identified as an American-born Muslim named Omar Mateen, was investigated twice by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in 2013 and 2014. He held a security guard and statewide firearms license in Florida.

As expected, the progressives, led this time by President Obama and Hillary barely waited for the bodies to cool after the latest shooting tragedy before calling for stricter gun control measures. If you’re on a watch list, if you’re under investigation, those things can be tabbed and tagged and I think that’s exactly the way the states are doing it across the country. It’s unclear exactly how many guns are sold that way.

There are about 1.6 million concealed weapons permit holders.

Trump on CNN called Mateen a “whack job”.

Johnson, in several television interviews on Tuesday, said such curbs were a critical step for public safety and could be taken without infringing on the rights of responsible people to own a gun. She described Mateen as a “madman filled with hate”, but stressed that there was more to learn about the motives for the killings. “He’s evil”, Henson said, referring to Mateen.
