Marcus Grimmie pays tribute to his late sister Christina Grimmie, who died on June 11, 2016.
Christina’s killer has been named as Kevin James Loibl, 27, from St. Petersburg, Florida, who police believe travelled to the concert with the intention of killing the singer.
However, after Christina’s brother tackled Loibl, the murderer killed himself.
On Facebook, Marcus wrote: “By now I’m sure many you have heard that Christina has passed away due to gunfire after a show. And I don’t really understand how this happened, but I would like to dedicate this next song to her”. A superstar. A goofball.
Grimmie shared photos of his sister and encouraged others to do the same and comment with their favorite memories of Christina. I PROMISE I will respond to everyone when I can. “We don’t know if they were friends, we don’t know if he was just a insane fan that followed her on Twitter, on social media, we really don’t know”, police said. Introverted. And a friend to everyone.
Recording artist Selena Gomez paid tribute at her Saturday show to her longtime friend, singer Christina Grimmie, who was gunned down in Orlando Friday night. “So please do that for me”. He ended by saying: “Thank you all so, so much”. The support has been insane and I do feel at peace. I just don’t have any words.
Grimmie, who rose to fame after appearing on the United States version of The Voice, was signing autographs after her performance at The Plaza Live in Orlando, Florida when the gunman – named by police as Kevin Loibl – opened fire.

“When she was 14, we met her and my parents and I signed her”, People magazine said a clearly emotional Gomez told concertgoers.
