Our next chance for some rain will come late Wednesday night for locations west of the Lehigh Valley, but for most it will hold off until the day on Thursday.

News 12 Long Island meteorologist Rich Hoffman said northwest winds.

Saturday will probably be the more enjoyable day for some people, as temperatures will be right in the ideal not-too-hot, not-too-cool range. Drier weather and lower humidity return for the weekend.

A low pressure system over the Gulf of Alaska is the cause of these lower temperatures, according to the National Weather Service. Expect mostly cloudy skies Tuesday night and an overnight low of about 56.

Father’s Day: Sunny, warmer, a bit more humid.

The dry, comfortable conditions continue into the overnight as temps drop into the upper 50s under clear skies.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 78.

Highs will range from the low and mid 70s across the Adirondacks and Catskills to the upper 70s or 80 degrees for the remainder of Upstate New York.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 76.

Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 60.

Monday: Partly cloudy, hot.

Thursday’s forecast calls for sunny skies with a high of 93 and an overnight low of 54.
