Broncos, Von Miller still far apart in contract negotiations
For Broncos wideout Demaryius Thomas, Monday’s visit to the White House meant more than just celebrating a Super Bowl victory with President Barak Obama. “Still trying to get more information on exactly what happened…. the thing I’m concerned about is his health”.

“Then there’s this guy from the commercials”, Obama said as he recited the team members and their accomplishments. There have been rumors Talib accidentally shot himself, but the incident report from Dallas Police called the shooting an “aggravated assault”.
Denver Broncos cornerback Chris Harris takes a break from drills during an NFL football practice at … I think he’s very close in what he’s doing, but I don’t think it makes much sense. Broncos officials said Talib did not require surgery.
Klis reports that the Broncos and Miller agreed on the six-year, $114.5 million part but strongly disagreed on the structure of the deal, specifically the guaranteed money in the first three years. But he has not participated in the Broncos’ offseason program.
“We’ve made real progress over the last couple of days”, Miller said.
The Broncos are preparing for life without retired quarterback Peyton Manning when they enter the 2016 season. Miami Dolphins defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh currently sets the league defensive standard with a contract worth $19 million per year, which is what the Broncos are now offering Miller.

Elway criticized Thomas for skipping offseason workouts a year ago, but didn’t do the same with Miller, suggesting in April that it was good for him to get away from football for a while. Both he and the Broncos have until the July 15th deadline to secure a contract before the franchise tag comes into effect and Miller would have to play for one-year at just over 14-Million dollars. You want to go in every year with the mentality that you’re going to get back there. The situation between the Broncos and Von Miller is certainly complicated, but it has yet to turn ugly, which is why a deal getting done in the near future seems like a pretty reasonable assumption.
