Toronto nightclub shooting leaves at least 2 dead, 3 wounded

Two people are dead and three others are in hospital after a shooting at an OVO Fest after-party.

The club was hosting a concert after-party hosted by Canadian rapper and record producer Drake.

Toronto news network CP24 reports that the incident took place at 3.30am on Tuesday morning, with police sealing off a large section of the Exhibition grounds complex where the nightclub is located.

The shooting started in the Muzik Nightclub and spilled out onto the street.

It is not yet known what led to the shooting, though a similar shooting at the same event in 2014 resulted in a 24-year-old man being rushed to hospital with a gunshot wound.

Sloly said there was at least one victim inside the club, then the shooting moved outside.

In accordance, the victims have been a person and a lady of their 20s and 30s. He said three people were hospitalized with various injuries. Murder detectives are reportedly carrying on the investigation with the police’s help. Frank Bergen.

Police believe there may be other victims and are asking anyone with information to contact them.

“Our officers were present when the initial shots went off. They were within meters of the initial shooting”, he said. Paramedics tell us that the scene is very very large and widespread.
