Fallin, 6 other GOP governors meet with Trump in NY

He has said he does not plan to attend the Republican National Convention this summer, and last week declined to say whether he thinks Trump is fit to be president.

Fallin did not endorse any of the Republican contenders until after U.S. Sen.

He didn’t know what would be discussed in the Tuesday meeting and didn’t disclose the names of any of the other governors participating in the session.

“My problem is they love me or they hate me”, Trump said. “I think he’s going to say, ‘Who can help me get the job done?’ and I think he needs some balance, and I like Mary Fallin for that reason”.

“This is my first opportunity to have a substantive discussion with him, and while we have differences in style and, in some cases policy, we agree on the importance of this election”, Hutchinson said in a statement, the online site reports. “I do not think it is reflective of our principles, not just as a party but as a country”.

Haslam said he also opposed that stance.

The meeting between Fallin and Trump is set for Tuesday afternoon. The meeting follows a mass shooting in Orlando in which the gunman, Omar Mateen, had been on the government’s terrorist watch list for 10 months before being removed. The nonprofit group advocates for gun rights.

Those in attendance also talked about strengthening the country’s national security and building a stronger national defense in the wake of the Orlando, Fla., shooting that left 49 dead and far more wounded.

If not Trump, then who?

Graham said that Trump “seems to be suggesting that the president is one of ‘them.’ I find that highly offensive”.
