When asked why Larry decided to make his return with Curb, HBO said that Larry’s response was, “In the immortal words of Julius Caeser, ‘I left, I did nothing, I returned'”.

But this year, rumors of a ninth season of Curb intensified, with David’s co-star J.B.

So, hopefully that was some pretty good news for you fans who are cynics and enjoy watching David’s wondrous meta-sitcom about life’s perpetual irritations.

USA channel HBO announced the news today (June 14), bringing the show back to screens for the first time since 2011. He even hosted the show once this past season, and it is regarding now by many as the strongest episode of the year.

HBO programming president Casey Bloys announced the news in a press release Tuesday and confirmed series creator Larry David will return to star in the show.

We’ve been hearing about the possibility that Curb Your Enthusiasm might produce new episodes for some time, but up until this morning, we’d heard nothing definitive about Season 9. He also starred in and directed two movies, HBO’s Clear History, in 2013, and a theatrical film, Sour Grapes, in 1998. No other details were announced, and no air date was provided.

Get ready for lots of laughing, cringing, and awkward moments, because Larry David is reprising his show “Curb Your Enthusiasm” for season nine at last.

Since the last series aired David has been relatively quiet, although he has won acclaim for his impersonation of Presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders on Saturday Night Live.
