Apple executives outlined improvements to software for the iPhone, Apple Watch, Apple TV and Mac computers during a keynote presentation at the company’s Worldwide Developers Conference on Monday in San Francisco.

Apple also presented a new and completely renovated Apple Watch, which company officials say is faster and more versatile. The watch will begin keeping favorite apps in memory, making background updates and refreshing information before you look, making it more responsive. Cook opened the presentation by calling for a moment of silence in the wake of yesterday’s deadly attack in Orlando and closed by announcing the coming launch of Swift Playgrounds, an iPad app created to encourage people – especially school children – to learn how to code using Apple’s programming language Swift. Professional photo editing on an iPad Pro could soon become a reality as Apple opens the door to raw photo-editing applications as part of its upcoming iOS 10 operating system.
Apple Senior Vice President of Software Engineering, Craig Federighi, said at WWDC that an example of how the new options could be used would be sending a WeChat to say you’ll be five minutes late. In fact, the only ones you can’t remove are the App Store, Camera, Activity, Wallet, Find iPhone, Health, Messages, Phone, Safari and Settings – most of which are core functions that you’ll want to have available.
The newly beautifully redesigned maps can now take reservations, book a table through apps like OpenTable, and a ride with Uber all within the map. Unfortunately, there’s not a good way to track the app’s overall popularity in terms of user engagement, because third-party analytics firms aren’t able to track usage data for Apple’s system apps.

iOS 10 will be available this fall and is expected to work on all iPhones 5, 5s, 5c, 6, 6 plus, 6s and 6s plus. One of these features is the support for capturing RAW images.
