US presidentiable cooks bacon on gun barrel

The video, posted Monday, had almost 17,000 views by 6:20 p.m. EDT and was trending on Twitter. Ted Cruz estimates the Republican presidential candidate is worth between $2 million and $4.5 million, aided by an advance of roughly $319,000 for his best-selling memoir.

He then wrapped the barrel of an assault rifle in raw bacon, coated it in foil, then fired at targets on a shooting range.

2016 Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz wants you to know just how much fun he can bring to the White House.

During a Fox News Channel interview last month, Cruz described the brash billionaire as “a friend”, applauding his record of “taking on the Washington cartel”.

“There are few things I enjoy more than on weekends, cooking breakfast with the family”, he vocal fries at the beginning. “Of course in Texas, we cook bacon a little differently than most folks”, the Texas senator says in the video. The minute-long clip in online here.

“Mmm, machine gun bacon”, he says.

Most Americans, and most Texans, cook bacon in a frying pan, presumably to minimize the risk of a stray bullet hitting somebody else in the household. However, to most sane people, cooking bacon with a machine gun is needlessly risky.

Regardless, whether or not this video is better than Cruz’s tryout for “The Simpsons” is a matter of taste.
