Lin Manuel-Miranda of Hamilton Sings Carpool Karaoke With James Corden
Joining Corden in the vehicle is, of course, Lin-Manuel Miranda, along with Broadway legend, Audra McDonald, Modern Family’s Jesse Tyler Ferguson who’s now starring in Fully Committed, and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’s Jane Krakowski, now starring in She Loves Me.

How better to prepare for the upcoming Tony Awards than with a vehicle full of Broadway stars singing carpool karaoke?
Whether or not you’re suffering from Hamilton fatigue, with the Tony Awards coming up on Sunday, the theater world has gone full-blown Federalist.
The Tony Awards will air live Sunday on CBS at 8 p.m. Miranda’s “Hamilton” is expected to be a big victor after nabbing a record 16 nominations, including best actor for the playwright and best musical.
A former Tony victor himself, Corden’s roots are in theatre. It is closely followed by musicals Shuffle Along and She Loves Me. I’ve just got to jump into it.
We just hope the actual Tony Awards are as entertaining. “It’s a long evening and everyone is there to have fun”. Basically, if you love Broadway, this is probably going to be right up your alley; even if you’re not a huge fan, there’s still a lot to like here.
It’s pretty wonderful that James Corden has figured out that people will watch 11 minutes of celebrities driving around in a auto looking cramped. If each week featured a bunch of jolly theatre nerds and Lin-Manuel Miranda getting so genuinely into it they’re closing their eyes and pulling their hair I would be totally on board.
“It’s all about creating a bubble in which a person will feel very, very comfortable … there’s just a very humanising quality about it, which is, I think, all that anyone really wants to see”.

In between songs, Corden, 37, asked the Tony veterans if they had any advice for him.
