Orlando attack: Prosecutors are collecting evidence against wife of gunman
Salman, the daughter of Palestinian parents, rode with Mateen to pick up ammunition and a holster for the attack, and she drove him to Pulse to look it over before the attack, according to NBC News.

Law enforcement authorities are “considering filing criminal charges against Noor for failing to tell them what she knew”, NBC says, adding that she is cooperating with investigators and says she tried to talk Mateen out of committing the attack.
Gay dating app Jack’d did not immediately return a call for comment, Grindr officials said they “will continue to cooperate with the authorities and do not comment on ongoing investigations”, and Adam4Adam spokesman David Lesage said the company is looking at conversations and profiles in the Orlando area for any activity by Mateen but hasn’t found anything yet. He said another “regular” at the Florida gay bar was Omar Mateen, the man whose shooting rampage left 49 dead and dozens more wounded early Sunday in the worst mass shooting in modern USA history.
The man who killed 49 people at a gay nightclub in Florida appears to have acted alone, without direction from the various Islamist militant groups he professed sympathy for, authorities said as they delved into the roots of the worst mass shooting in modern US history.
During those calls, the gunman said he carried out the attack for Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and pledged allegiance to the militant Islamist organization. The most deadly mass shooting in US history lasted for three hours. He was previously married to Sitora Yusufiy for four months in 2009.
United States investigators say they have uncovered strong indications the gunman in the deadly Orlando shooting had become radicalized and potentially inspired by foreign terrorist groups. Numerous club patrons said they saw him at the club regularly, and others said they recognized him from gay dating apps.
The FBI is characterizing the shooting at Pulse as both a terrorist attack and a hate crime, CBS News’ Paula Reid reported earlier Wednesday.
“I feel like it’s a side of him or a part of him that he lived but probably didn’t want everybody to know about”, she said.
When Gentili answered the phone at the station, the man on the other end asked if Gentili had heard of the shooting.
“He’s been going to this bar for at least three years”, Callen said.
“It’s not clear whether he was making these connections – if he in fact did so – in order to case the place for a possible attack or for some other motive”, NPR’s Carrie Johnson said.
Mateen’s profile appears to have been removed from Facebook. A Disney manager speaking under the condition of anonymity told the newspaper Mateen visited the theme park in April.
