Daniel Radcliffe Doesn’t Plan On Seeing ‘Harry Potter’ Play Anytime Soon

Catch up on everything we know about the Potter play so far. “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” ages the characters to adults with children starting at Hogwarts, so the 26-year-old couldn’t reprise his role from the films as the Boy Who Lived.

Surprisingly that’s not the case!

Radcliffe said: “So not for the time being, but I’ve heard it’s fantastic”. “I am genuinely intrigued and I’ve heard it’s fantastic”, Radcliffe answered.

New stage show “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” – written by J.K. Rowling – has just opened in London but Radcliffe won’t be going to see the production because he would be mobbed by fans in the audience.

Radcliffe recently admitted that he was “unsure” about seeing the much-talked about play as he didn’t want his presence to detract from the show.

“Jamie Parker is a wonderful actor and I’m very very happy to see him playing me”, he smiled.

Daniel further added that he hopes Jamie can lighten the burden of Harry Potter fans that sits on his shoulders. “It’s about being really effortless, no ego, I think way before I ever met him, I had modelled myself on him a little bit”.

And finally, Colbert can’t help but to ask Radcliffe if he’s going to see the brand new Harry Potter play, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. “He can do all the “Harry Potter” questions now”. So, as Daniel rightly explained, he wouldn’t be able to relax and watch the show sat in a theater that is filled to the brim with Harry Potter fans.
