The fortunate UK Lotto fan managed to match 2, 14, 19, 20, 29 and 38 to get their hands on the eight-figure sum and become the fifth largest UK Lotto prize victor since the game launched in 1994.
Powerball announced that there was no victor for the jackpot prize with the combination 20-27-36-41-58 (white Powerball numbers) and 7 (red Powerball number) with 2x Power Play over the weekend.
The sole $1 million winning ticket matched all 5 numbers but not the Powerball.
The UK Lotto top prize has been reset ahead of this Saturday’s draw, with a jackpot of £3.8 million just waiting to be won.
The winning numbers drawn on January 9 were: 16 – 19 – 32 – 34 – 57, and Powerball number 13.
There were two winning tickets nationally worth $3 million each, for the six winning numbers of 11, 17, 37, 3, 24 and 29, with the Powerball of 3. There is also the cash option where a player would only need to pay the tax and get the entire jackpot prize amount in cash.
“With that, I bought my regular week’s tickets, and Powerball come in”. The odds of winning the jackpot with a $1 ticket are 1-in-258.9 million.
Powerball is drawn every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.
