With Microsoft’s E3 conference it was all about bringing the Xbox brand under one banner that exists as both a standalone console and as part of the Windows 10 experience.

The new Xbox One S also comes with a slightly redesigned controller, featuring textured grip, increased wireless range and Bluetooth support.
Other changes include moving the USB ports to the front of the console, adding a built-in infrared blaster and eliminating the port for the motion-detecting Kinect camera system.
“There’s going to be areas where Microsoft and Valve cooperate and there’s going to be areas where we compete, the end result is better for gamers”. The new console will feature six teraflops – or 6 trillion floating point operations per second – of power. Microsoft’s Phil Spencer confirmed that a Halo 6 PC version will certainly make its way via Windows 10.
While they have comparable specs, Sony’s PlayStation 4 is slightly more powerful than the current version of the Xbox One.
Debuting with a new design and “robot white” colour (Compared to the standard black), the new Xbox One S is set to be the smallest and most compact Xbox ever. Sony said last month it has sold 40 million PS4s. Microsoft had earlier in that year made a similar move, lowering the Xbox One price to US$350 by unbundling it from a Kinect motion-sensing accessory.

Exciting news for Halo fans as the next instalment in the game’s franchise has no reason not to come to PC as well as Xbox One, according to Xbox Boss Phil Spencer..
