Additionally, Deadline is reporting that Nick Zano has been cast as Dr. Nate Heywood, and will appear in the the second season of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow as a series regular.
Vigilante was first introduced in New Teen Titans in the early 1980s. Segarra will be playing Adrian Chase, Star City’s newest District Attorney. Chase was a New York City district attorney whose family was murdered by mobsters. Although Vigilante initially had plans to use non-lethal force to keep crime in check, Chase’s mental health began to deteriorate over the years and, feeling responsible for the death of a police officer, he began to take on a significantly more violent persona.
Now, though, Adrian Chase – the character known to fans as Vigilante – is headed to Arrow. With Oliver holding public office now, it’s only natural that his fighting for good is no longer limited to wearing a green hoodie and shooting arrows at people.
There will be a new vigilante in town when Arrow returns for Season 5 this fall.
