Vigils Across Indiana For Orlando Attack
Sunday night, more than 100 mourners braved drizzling rain and lightning to attend a somber candlelight vigil on the shore of Lake Eola in downtown Orlando. We gather. In our grief, rage, sadness, fear, worry, pain, disillusionment, anger, heartache, hope, resentment, confusion, loss, resolve, and love.

“There are pockets of bigotry here and there, and we try to deal with those as best we can”, Stelmach said.
“We were lost and scared, unsure”.
“People are just shocked and horrified”, he said.
“That’s one of our homes”.
In two tweets, the official Pride in London account responded to a question about security at the event saying: “We continue to review situation with the police and security to provide a safe event”. Orlando’s Watermark newspaper joined NGMA in 2015.
“Together we stay #OrlandoStrong”, reads on update on the GoFundMe page.
The University of MS community is holding a vigil at 6 p.m. Tuesday on the pier at Lamar Park in Oxford to honor and remember the victims of the Orlando shooting that occurred early Sunday morning. They said he would often drink in the corner alone, and sometime become loud and belligerent.
“We’re here today because we’re strong, OK?”
The money raised now stands at more than US$2,490,000 ($3,537,000) from 58,000 donors.
In the shooting, the deadliest in USA history, 50 people died and another 53 were injured.
The massacre at the Pulse nightclub early Sunday, which claimed 49 lives and left 53 wounded, was the deadliest terror attack on U.S. soil since September 11, 2001.
“It’s ironic to go from something so celebratory to something so tragic and unnecessary”, said Miranda Zoch as she wiped tears from her eyes after the vigil.
Rima Khan-Shahid, executive director at the Muslim Alliance of IN, condemned the attacks, speaking of unity and peace.
“It’s vital that we head out into our bars and line the streets in solidarity with our kind across the globe.Once again we find ourselves as the receivers of hateful, deliberate violence but we must be defiant and refuse to be victims”.
Rabbi Paula Winnig also spoke to large claps and cheers when she urged voters to consider whether candidates support gun laws when they head to the polls in November.
Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, mayor of London Sadiq Khan and Education Secretary Nicky Morgan were among a cross-party group of politicians at the event.

Current Ms Gay Cork, Stephanie Fogarty, said it was shocking to think that “49 awesome, attractive people” had been killed due to their sexuality, but people should be proud of who they are. “Every day I live in that fear that in the next tragedy that person’s gonna have a Muslim name”.
