WWE will put on its first live event in China in more than three years on September 10 at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai.
“Today’s historic announcements further demonstrate WWE’s long-term commitment to China”. “The partnerships with PPTV and venue operator Expo Group, as well as the signing of Wang will enable us to engage our fans in China like never before”. Starting on June 28th, fans can watch SmackDown and Monday Night Raw online and in Mandarin.
WWE shortform content will also be available through those digital platforms, while PPTV will launch and run a new WWE website in China.

It looks like the company has taken one more step into the future when they signed their first Chinese wrestler in Bin Wang.
The six-foot-three and 220 pound Wang has spent the past two years training at WWE Hall of Famer Antonio Inoki’s Inoki Genome Federation (IGF) in Japan.
Cena – who made guest appearances in comedy films Trainwreck and Sisters and starred in his own action flick (The Marine) – also showcased his French and Mandarin-speaking prowess at a WWE show in Montreal a year ago. WWE programming reaches more than 650 million homes worldwide in 35 languages. Triple H’s presence wasn’t exclusively as an in-ring performer but as corporate title of WWE Executive Vice President, Talent, Live Events and Creative.
