The robot caused chaos on the streets after getting halfway across the road before its batteries ran out, leaving it stranded in the middle of the carriageway.
The robot is now under development at Promobot Labs in Perm, Russia.
He added that the engineer working on the robot had forgotten to close the gate when he left for an appointment and promised that more care would be taken in future. In all, it was on its own for about 40 minutes.
A robot ran away from scientists and caused a traffic jam in Russian Federation. After all the video above was something Promobot posted to their YouTube channel, and they haven’t been shy about publicizing the cyborg’s quest for emancipation. The company says that its machines are able to answer questions, give directions and even recognize people. Passersby were baffled at the sight of a amusing looking robot standing right in the middle of the road. Police were called to help, after which an engineer from the company showed up to wheel it away. This was the first time a robot has fled the facility, he said.

One Russian media outlet reckons that Promobot deliberately released the machine as part of a publicity stunt.
