“He was born here, but his parents weren’t”, the presumptive Republican nominee said of Omar Mateen, the New York-born shooter who killed 49 people in Orlando, Florida, early Sunday morning.
The Trump campaign late Monday said the rally is scheduled for noon Wednesday at the Fox on Peachtree Street in midtown Atlanta.
Approximately 70 percent of people hold an unfavorable view of Trump, up 10 points from last month.
“The only reason the killer was here is because we allowed his family to come here”, Trump said.
Trump’s campaign has not announced the subject of Wednesday’s rally.
During the speech, Trump was interrupted repeatedly by protesters.
Having said that, however, Clinton would still be better placed to beat Donald Trump owing to her vastly superior political experience, something that seems to hinder Trump more than it helps him.
Trump also said authorities need to “respectfully” monitor mosques.
In fact, at the time of writing, more than 40,000 people have already signed an online pledge vowing #NeverTrump.
“Unless you’re willing to discuss and talk about the real nature of the problem and the name of the problem – radical Islamic terrorism – you’re never going to solve the problem”, Trump said to cheers.
