Willis, Stewart, Lively among cast for Allen’s next film

Woody Allen’s 2016 film will star Jeannie Berlin (Inherent Vice), Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network) as James, Blake Lively (Gossip Girl) as Kat, Parker Posey (The House of Yes), Kristen Stewart (Twilight) as Theresa, Corey Stoll (House of Cards, Ant-Man), Ken Stott (The Hobbit films), and Bruce Willis (The Sixth Sense) as Aaron. The cast for his latest effort, still untitled and now filming in New York and Los Angeles, will bring two, much-beloved-in-the-V.F.-office faces to the Allen universe: scowling sweetheart Kristen Stewart and lifestyle guru Blake Lively.

Woody Allen, despite everything, still knows how to assemble a cast that makes us stand up and pay attention. Anna Camp, Stephen Kunken, Sari Lennick and Paul Schneider will co-star.

Some of these names are new, while the main headliners have already been reported.

No details about the project were revealed on Tuesday.

Allen’s new movie is being produced by his long-time partners, Letty Aronson, Steven Tenebaum and Edward Walson. Although 2013’s “Blue Jasmine” was shot in San Francisco and New York City, Allen, who’s famous for his NYC-set films, has been shying away from the locale due to high production costs, and opting for worldwide destinations like Paris, Rome and Barcelona. It’s been even longer since Allen filmed in Los Angeles.

The director has not filmed in LA since 1977’s Annie Hall.
