Apple WWDC: Developer Conference Keynote Brings Big Promises
The battle of the digital assistants will begin again in earnest in the fall of 2016 when the latest version of Apple’s Siri hits the street with iOS 10.

While it wasn’t officially announced during the presentation of iOS 10 features at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference on Monday, June 13, it is now possible for users to remove default apps from their Home screen.
If removed all contact information will be found under the Phone app.
One such thing could be extended storage capacity, probably due to slimmed-down iOS 10 system data. And this is indeed a big upgrade. These include the ability to specify the layout of icons on the Home Screen; real app blacklisting and whitelist; a mode for lost devices; activation lock; and finer control over notifications. It is called the Rise to Wake feature.
Apple has released the beta version of iOS 10 to developers, along with the latest version of its operating system for Mac computers macOS 10.12 Sierra.
There are also other features like emojis taking center stage and being bigger than usual, adding fun to the app.
One of the key announcements was about iOS 10, which comes with a list of new user interface features. Cook opened the presentation by calling for a moment of silence in the wake of yesterday’s deadly attack in Orlando and closed by announcing the coming launch of Swift Playgrounds, an iPad app created to encourage people – especially school children – to learn how to code using Apple’s programming language Swift.
After you copy an address in Google Maps, Apple Maps acknowledges it’s been watching you with the message “Recently viewed in Google Maps”.
Apple News has also been redesigned. But … whatever. I’m not using this stuff, ever.
Once the update is available, just download and install it like you do with any other OTA update. On Wednesday they streamed the session What’s New in Apple Device Management, and I watched it to see what’s coming up. They have no business even doing this app. Since these apps are baked inside the iOS 10, their binary application remains inside the device itself. I gave up on Apple Music months ago, but again, kudos to Apple for fixing this thing.

Rich notification is a fancy new feature which lets you access your notifications without going to the trouble of unlocking your iPhone and accessing the corresponding apps. Microsoft needs to figure out something like this on Windows (C# or Visual Basic, I guess) pronto. That means when someone asks you what a certain person’s number is, you automatically get suggestions to quickly shoot a reply back – no need to leave the app to trawl through your contacts. And while we all talk about Whatsapp or Facebook Messenger as the major texting apps in our lives, Apple’s iMessage (Messages) is right up there.
